Marex, a UK-Based Financial Services Firm, Expands into Japan

‍ ‍

Marex Group has opened its first office in Japan as part of its Asia expansion strategy, aimed at connecting clients to major global markets.

‍ ‍

The UK-headquartered financial services and market infrastructure firm has established a Tokyo office, which will initially focus on structured products and over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives. The company plans to gradually expand its services for local clients and is seeking clearing membership at the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) and Osaka Exchange (OSE).

‍ ‍

Tokyo becomes Marex’s seventh office in Asia-Pacific, reflecting the firm's long-term commitment to Japan. By establishing a local presence, Marex aims to provide Japanese clients with greater access to global markets while helping international clients access one of the world's largest capital markets.
